  • Kuvaus: A rich young man, Tony, somewhat disillusioned with life, hangs out in a club. Among the regular customers is Alekos, a fortune-hunting trumpet player who takes advantage of lovers and friends, and Stefanos, who is in love with honest Elpida (who lives with her younger sister across from Alekos). Elpida falls in love with Tony, who responds to her feelings without knowing that she works as a secretary for his industrialist father. When he finds out – and knowing his father quite well - he believes that Elpida is his father’s mistress, and, feeling hurt and angry, he abandons her. She tries to commit suicide, but, heeding the advice of an elderly man, she decides to go back to her previous job and continues singing in a cabaret. However, Tony’s father straightens things out, and the two young people get back together.
